Description
Don’t miss this wonderful event for the whole family!
Your family will be guests of Janet and Nick Marsh at the Waterford Fair on Saturday, October 4. Each year Waterford, a lovely historic village settled in the early 1700’s, welcomes fairgoers from around the world for three days of living history, food, handicrafts, and just plain fun. Friends and families, adults and children all delight in lively performances of traditional music and dance; reenactments by Colonial and Civil War-era militia and cavalry; art and photography exhibits, hands-on demonstrations of traditional American crafts. Young visitors join artisans in making their clay pots and candles, or other early crafts. They are invited to take a lesson from a sword-master, be enchanted by a magician, or charmed by an organ grinder, ride on a country wagon filled with hay, or join the students in a real one-room schoolhouse.
After your day at the fair, join the Marsh family beginning at 4PM for a family-friendly BBQ and pool party at their home just 1 mile north of the village in lovely historic Waterford. This fun-filled event includes swimming, Carolina BBQ, a bon-fire complete with s’mores, and a special treat at the end of the evening!
