Host a private party at The Hudson Valley Writers' Center own Philipse Manor train station.
The Center's headquarters is the restored Philipse Manor railroad station, which overlooks the Hudson River in the village of Sleepy Hollow, Westchester County, New York. Spectacular Hudson River views in a restored, historic setting.
The building, which is listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places, has been almost completely restored by the Center. The Preservation League of New York State selected The Hudson Valley Writers' Center to receive its prestigious Excellence in Preservation Award for 2005 for its work to restore the station.
The Hudson Valley Writers' Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1988 with a mission to advance the art and craft of writing by encouraging writers and readers at all levels to participate in and enjoy the literary arts. It offers classes for professional and amateur writers.
