After its success last year with Lucia di Lammermoor's sing-a-long and sold out crowd, the company returns to White Plains with La Traviata in the same format. The concept was so popular last year that it had to be moved to a larger venue this year. Conducted by the Musical Director, Jun Nakabayashi, the orchestra and leads of Taconic Opera will perform a semi-staged production of La Traviata (orchestra, costumes, minimal sets) and the audience members, if they choose, can be part of the chorus of the opera. Music will be provided if you do not have your own Traviata score. The Taconic Opera chorus will sit among the audience and the conductor will face the audience at the correct time and so you feel like a true blue chorus member in a live opera! The setting is intimate and the leads engage the chorus. It is a unique and unparalleled artistic experience that left audiences raving last season.
