Sue Koch Otsuka - Artist¿s Statement
I have begun to do my own artwork in earnest. As a graphic designer I have worked at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for a career¿s length. It has been my fortune to experience¿to deeply look at a range of the most amazing and beautiful art of the world. I¿m particularly interested in the forming based upon weaving, typography, children¿s block building, the juxtapolition of color and accident. There is a locus of intention and accident. I want my work to look as though it ¿just happened.¿
