The Schuylkill Country Club was formed in 1905 in Pottsville as the "Outdoor Club of Pottsville". The club's original charter and by laws were created as this time, and the basic outline and structure of these documents still exist today. In 1919, the members of the "Outdoor Club of Pottsville" decided to purchase a scenic piece of property in Orwigsburg, PA, and build a 9-hole golf course. The original 9-holes of the golf course were built by Frank James at a cost of $20,700 and opened in 1921.

In the mid 1940's, the renowned architect Donald Ross was hired to design 9 new holes and redesign the original 9 holes. The result is 18 excellent golf holes which provide enjoyment and challenge for golfers of all ages and abilities.

The course is member friendly as home course knowledge proves to play a major role in most tournaments. The greens are designed in traditional Donald Ross style and continue to make the course different every time it is played. NO TEE TIMES provides a luxury that not many private clubs can claim in this day and age. Members can enjoy a peaceful, relaxing round any day of the week, including weekends.

The winning bidder will receive a round of golf and lunch for four individuals at the Schuylkill Country Club located in Orwigsburg, PA.  (Located approximately 12 miles from the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Visitor Center.)
