"Witty madness... dazzling and delightful!" —The New York Times
The beloved Mummenschanz have brought myth, mystery and plenty of laughter to generations of audiences across four continents for over four decades. Since its three-year run on Broadway, this Swiss mask theatre troupe has pioneered a new form of visual performance and created a legacy. Hailed for their ability to fold, twist, arc and teeter the human body into amorphous, immensely adorable creatures, Mummenschanz promises to delight anyone from 2 to 92. Within their comic and wordless universe, everyday objects such as toilet paper, wires, tubes, and boxes spring to life to become fantastical characters. Using silence, illusion, light and shadow, these invisible masters of movement have revolutionized theatre, morphing ordinary materials into magically expressive masks and props. Their universe is filled with incredible stories that transcend the need for words, spark the imagination, and reveal timeless insight on human connections.
