Along the western foothills of the San Bernadino Mountains lies the small but thriving region of Southern California’s Temecula Valley Wine Country.  This basket features three different wines that are from local wineries as well as locally grown olive oil.  Wine tasting and olive oil tasting are favorite pass times in the area.  Specifically, this basket features:

Hart Winery 2010 Tres Hermanos:  This wine is styled after the classic Rhone blends of Southern Frances:  Cotes de Rhone and Chateau Neuf de Pape.  This fruit-laden blend of 50% Grenache, 33% Syrah, and 17% Mourvedre, shows great complexity and food compatibility.

Leoness Cellars 2011 Meritage:  This wine is beautifully balanced, with aromas and flavors of blackberry and plum complementing subtle nuances of vanilla and black licorice. 

Ferro 2013 Sauvignon Blanc:  This wine accentuates the divine varietal aromas and flavors reminiscent of grapefruit, passion fruit, gooseberries, elderberries and boxwood leaves.
