Special Instructions

Alexander was the bassist for the Stax act when four of the six band members were killed in the same plane crash that claimed the life of soul singer Otis Redding. Alexander immediately rebuilt the band and is the sole, original member of the Bar-Kays still active with them.  His creative output as a studio musician at Stax is the stuff of legend. He played on groundbreaking records by Isaac Hayes, The Staples Singers, Rufus Thomas, and countless other hits for the iconic label.
