Description
Brazilian Biomes is the result of a partnership between Conservation International and the Brazilian publisher Casa da Palavra, with support from the company Vale. Released in September 2012, the book presents the biomes as a process of rediscovery of Brazil, beginning with a sequence of occupation begun in the Atlantic Forest and, more recently, arriving at the Coastal and Marine biome, the country's newest growth area.
The book describes the Brazilian biomes as a backdrop for the construction now in motion, of a new model of life on the planet: with its people, its biodiversity and the challenges of achieving human well-being while maintaining natural riches. With 329 pages, the book presents the work of 33 authors and 29 nature photographers in a bilingual portuguese/English format.
