Behind-the-scenes VIP tour of hidden treasures at the Smithsonian's Museum Support Center in Suitland, MD (20 minutes from Washington D.C.).

Scientist John Ososky will lead the tour to see the fascinating collections stored for the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. This state-of-the-art facility provides the correct temperature and humidity for museum specimens and houses 31 million objects including hippo skulls, Roosevelt's trophy elephant skulls, animal skins, 10 ft tall whale skulls, and the "beetle room" for preparing bone specimens.
