"Twelve in the Sun" - I have always loved marine painting. And I have always loved this class of sailboat- a Herreshoff 12 ½. Never tire of painting the lovely thing! I actually own one, and it is 77 years old this summer.
Chuck Paine enjoys a worldwide reputation for his creative skills. Like the French impressionist Gustave Caillebotte before him, he is known both for his fine art—paintings and line drawings—and for his elegant yacht designs. Unlike Caillebotte, Paine began his career with yachts, launching over 1000 vessels whose combined length, if placed end to end, would stretch more than six beautiful miles. For the past few years, he has applied the majority of his efforts to pen and ink renderings, watercolors and oil paintings.

Special Instructions
All finished buoy artwork and item gift certificates may be picked up at the Trekkers office on 41 Buttermilk Drive in Thomaston, Maine. Any gift certificates will be mailed to the winners at no charge.
If the winner is unable to pick up the buoy artwork, it will be shipped to them and they will be responsible for all shipping and handling fees, which will be in addition to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped and billed at standard industry rates through The UPS Store in Rockland, Maine.
