"FLIGHT OF THE SWALLOWS" - As a painter, I found it tricky to figure out how to make use of the form of the bouy. I wanted to do something related to the Bay. Then I realized that if I twirled the bouy from a string, it could work like an animation, so the swallows are taking flight.
Nancy Glassman’s paintings explore effects of light and nuanced colors of seasonal change. She uses shape, pattern and rhythym to carry the viewer through complicated scenes. She is represented by the Caldbeck Gallery of Rockland, Maine. She received the Harlow Gallery First Place award in 2009, and in 2011, her work was included in Die Sao Paolo Biennale, in Dusseldorf, Germany.

All finished buoy artwork and item gift certificates may be picked up at the Trekkers office on 41 Buttermilk Drive in Thomaston, Maine. Any gift certificates will be mailed to the winners at no charge.
If the winner is unable to pick up the buoy artwork, it will be shipped to them and they will be responsible for all shipping and handling fees, which will be in addition to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped and billed at standard industry rates through The UPS Store in Rockland, Maine.
