The VP joined Apple in 1999 when the acquisition of his startup company brought OpenGL (and his hand full of technical patents) to the Mac family. He led development of Apples core graphics technology and, ultimately, the Graphics and Imaging team, before taking over leadership of all of IMG in late 2008.

Under his leadership IMG has delivered Apples industry-leading GPU drivers, graphics, and animation technology, CoreAudio and CoreMedia, enabling a whole generation of mobile audio and video applications, FaceTime, bringing people all over the world closer together with those they care about, and the amazing Camera stack, which powers the worlds most popular camera.
