Two Night Stay at Catskill Bed and Breakfast

Item Number: 155
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
This enchanting two night accomodation includes two breakfasts and two dinners prepared by the Hunts, who are outstanding home cooks. (Terry Hunt was Long Island Newsday’s “Cook of the Week” a few years ago, and cooks regularly at his church’s lunch program.) Some of the couple's past culinary triumphs include colonial dinners for four done as fundraisers at the 1721 Thomas Dodge House in Port Washington, Long Island, a highly touted “mystery dinner” at their church, and an annual Robert Burns Night supper complete with haggis. The menus will be developed in tandem with the winners of the auction; the haggis is optional.
The Village of Catskill is a year-round destination. The scenery is beautiful in spring and summer and, of course, in leaf season. In the winter, it’s close to the Hunter Mountain ski area. Local attractions include Kaaterskill Falls, antique shops, the artist Frederick Church’s breathtaking home Olana, and the Thomas Cole house.
