Description
100% cotton large nap quilt. Approx: 62"x55". Machine wash and dry. Pieced and quilted by Gail Fairfield.
Gail is an avid quilter. She started quilting in the 70s and then took a 20 year hiatus. Now it is her primary passion and she makes time for it every day.
She makes a lot of large lap quilts or "Nap Quilts", and this is an example of one. This is a pinwheel pattern which signifies new beginnings, among other things, with intentional colors and patterns.
One of her trademarks is the backs of her quilts, known as "back art." She tries to make sure the back has interesting fabric and she uses some additional patchwork on the back.
