On August 28, 1996, The Fitness Zone opened its doors to the Cape Ann community. We had taken over an operation that was at a very low point. We only had 75 participating members and one treadmill. One step at a time, we started to change and evolve the new Fitness Zone. With dogged determination, perseverance, and hard work, the Fitness Zone was soon poised to offer the members a club that was the cleanest, most equipped, and affordable, for all levels of physical fitness, in the area.

Today, The Fitness Zone is still recognized for all the attributes that brought us to 15,000 square feet and 1,500 members. We have constantly changed and evolved, along with our members. Now, more than ever physical fitness and well-being is at the forefront of our thinking. Exercise and its benefits to the quality of our lives is now being realized throughout the entire population. We must move, condition and take care of our physical being. At The Fitness Zone, we have created a space where all members of the community are welcomed, and given the opportunity to fulfill their physical fitness goals, in an environment that is supportive, friendly, and respectful to all that call this their Club.

We have always looked upon our position at the Fitness Zone as stewards of a communal Facility. We may hold the position of ownership, but without our loyal membership and staff, we are nothing. You are the Fitness Zone, and it is truly a gift to be serving this community, and our members. We enjoy every day that we have had with you over the years. The future is ours for the making, exercise, eat well, and learn something every day! Thank you!
