Chase Cellar’s historic Hayne Vineyard is home to 110-year old heritage Zinfandel vines that are the source for a number of the most highly rated Zinfandels in California.  The winner of this auction lot will bring his party for a vineyard tour, library tasting and lunch hosted by Vintner Katie Hayne Simpson, great-great granddaughter of the original vineyard owner.   During your visit you’ll walk the vineyards and commune with these beautiful, ancient vines. A farmhouse lunch will be served with a selection of Hayne Vineyard library wines and current releases that you’ll enjoy while you taking in the incredible history of this place set in the midst of sweeping Napa Valley views.  You’ll also be presented with a magnum of 2006 Chase Cellars Hayne Vineyard Reserve Zinfandel.  Beautiful, lifted aromatics lead to layered fruit flavors of plum, cherry and bramble. Terrior-driven, it’s expansive with sweet spicy cinnamon and fine, integrated tannins. The lovely acidity makes this wine a perfect match to many meals.
