The first, Celebration of Life Event to benefit Meals on Wheels of Frederick County, MD, is excited to share the painting created and donated for this Event.  This will be Auctioned Live on Saturday, November 8, 2014, 7-11 p.m., at the Wm. Talley Rec. Center.  It will be a yearly commission with a different painting of Frederick, depicting the MOW red delivery basket, created especially for raising money to feed more Elderly and Shut-Ins in Frederick County.  Our Artist of choice is a Frederick County Native, Melanie Blair Young.  Melanie graduated from Gov. Thomas Johnson High School, then studied at York Academy of Arts, in York PA.  She translated her Art background into a career of Interior Design.  One of her many talents is painting.  She lives in the mountains near Thurmond, MD, with her husband Dale, 5 Labrador Retrievers, their Cat, and 12 Chickens
