This brilliantly colored original framed painting is by German Artist Angelika Bauer.  This work is named "En El Carino" which exemplifies the English work Affection.  

Bauer's work is always influenced by her thirty five years of living on the shorts of Lake Atitlan, her love of the local Guatemala indigenous people, and their close relationship to nature and their Mayan beliefs.
