Description
Invite up to five guests to join you for a delicious and unique dining experience with chef and Level 2 Sommelier Missy Will in her new kitchen studio in Point Reyes Station. This intimate private dinner will conjure memories or your imaginings of Spain, as Missy handcrafts and serves you a Spanish-inspired meal of appetizers and a 3 course dinner with wine pairings designed to take you on a journey through various provinces.
Spanish cuisine consists of a variety of dishes which stem from differences in geography, culture and climate. It is heavily influenced by regionally sourced ingredients including: olive oil, tomatoes, meats, herb and spices, and seafood available from the waters that surround the country, reflecting the country's deep maritime roots. Your experience includes paired Spanish wines that reflect the region's dynamic landscape. Your guests will get one-on-one instruction from Missy, who is certified as a level 2 sommelier. She will share her vast knowledge of wine, including tasting the nuances found throughout the region, wine history, procurement, and storage.
As you taste and sip, Missy will highlight what makes Spanish cuisine unique and how to highlight those flavors with paired wines. She will also share cooking tips and answer questions you may have regarding this cuisine. Missy Will has been in the food industry for over ten years cooking, consulting, teaching and organizing events as an executive chef and event Coordinator at Woodhouse Family Cellars, and executive chef and operations manager at Sizzleworks Cooking School and a chef consultant and culinary director at Villa Cucina Culinary Center and Cooking School. In 2010, Missy started her own catering business, Wine and Food Events, where she organizes and customizes special private and corporate events and cooking and wine classes.
As the Spanish say to wish everyone a good meal, "Buen provecho!"
