Description
Before he was known as the inspiration for Lorde's hit song "Royals," George Brett played his entire 21 year baseball career for - you guessed it - the Kansas City Royals (1973-1993).
Displaying an extraordinary intensity at the plate, Brett became the first player in history to accumulate 3,000 hits, 300 home runs, 600 doubles, 100 triples, 1,500 RBIs and 200 stolen bases. He was a 13-time All-Star and was named the American League's Most Valuable Player in 1980, when batted and extraordinary .390, the third highest average since 1941.
