Upon graduating from the renowned Hattori Nutrition College in Tokyo in 2006, Chef Kazuhiko Tajima began his 7-year apprenticeship at two-star Michelin restaurants, Kappou-Hassun in Kyoto for 5 years and Kaiseki-Komuro for 2 years in Tokyo and mastered traditional Japanese “Kaiseki” cuisine. Soon after, he joined Hyakumi-an, one of seven top restaurants at Roppongi Hills Club in Tokyo.
Beginning in 2014, Tajima was hand-selected to be Chef for the Consulate-General of Japan in San Francisco, California. As part of a larger diplomatic mission, he has been responsible for preparing Kaiseki style meals and large banquets for local Bay Area leaders, as well as government and business VIPs from various countries.
