Things work out in a funny way. Alison had agreed to make a donation to the Lolita's Gift Holiday auction, she too is a generous alumni of the Spring Fling.

The day I got confirmation of this donation, is the day the 3rd family of Risso Dolphins had lost their fight for life.

It was in this moment, when I first saw the photo of the donation, that I named this piece "Risso", in memory of these lost friends.

This is a carved vintage ironwood dolphin.

I'm unsure of it's exact age, but it is a vintage piece and is in very good condition.

The tail hovers off the table as if it's owner is just skimming the surface of the water. It measures about 9 1/2" wide.
