Description

The Spanish, as early as 1544, called it "Rio de la Paz," River of Peace.  The Seminoles calld it Tallackchopo (cow peas) because the banks were covered with wild peas.  It was once the dividing line between the settlers and the Indians.  The river bottom was once mined for phosphate and barges plied its waters.  Now, the Peace River, true to its name, is a serene, slow-moving river with few signs of civilization.  This gift certificate allows you to enjoy a 3, 5, 8, or 12 mile Daily Run on Peace River.  The certificate allows for 2 people per canoe or kayak.  However, kids 12 years and under are free as an extra person (third person).  Reservations are needed for all trips.
