Description

Beautiful sumi-e art iris handpainted on natural organic paper by Ray Bliss Rich.

Rich on his pins, "I make my natural organic paper jewelry from scratch… first making the paper from plant fiber… then making it into wearable fine art pins. I use some non-traditional materials as inclusions in my paper to make a more interesting sheet that is complimented by the brushwork designs. These include feather filaments, iridescent mylar threads, and ground up bits of mica; in addition to contrasting plant fibers. My unusual papers give my jewelry a very distinctive look."

Beauty in simplicity!
