Scendero Outfitters has brought Upland Game Bird Hunting back to Southeast Texas in a big way!  That's right, Bobwhite Quail, Chukar and Pheasant are back.  These hunts are operated on two properties near Winnie, TX.  The quail, chukar and pheasant are right at home on these native rich habitat properties.  The natural brush and vegetation is maintained to give the birds the maximum cover advantage. The fields also have mowed paths for hunters to walk free from tangling vegetation offering a clear view of your feet and what your stepping onto.

Quail hunting in Texas has long been a staple of the state. 

You will be pleased and excited to hunt behind great staff and dog crew.  Llewellin Setters really put off their Southern Charm as they delight all that watch them work. Customers may also bring their dogs as well.  Just tell your Scendero representative at the time of booking your hunt.

Scendero Outfitters is located in Southeast Texas within 30 minutes from Beaumont, within 2 hours of Houston, Lufkin, Lake Charles, Galveston, Katy and within 4-5 hours of Austin and San Antonio. 

Some things you will need to know before your hunt:

• All hunters will be required to attend a safety meeting prior to the hunt.


• All hunters must sign Scendero Outfitters LLC Rules and Release form prior to hunt.


• A valid Texas Hunting License is required to hunt on a Private Bird Hunting Preserve as defined by Texas Parks and Wildlife.


• Hunters are required to wear a safety orange vest (Scendero will provide a loaner at no cost upon request).


• Must book 1 week in advance


• Hunt Times are as follows: Morning Hunt: 8:00am thru 11:00pm
  Afternoon Hunt: 2:00pm thru 5:00pm


• 6 quail/hunter


• Includes guide, dog, drinking water, and bird cleaning
