Artist Info: A native New Englander, Lori Surdut Weinberg completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Art Education at Rhode Island School of Design, where she has been teaching for the past 35 years. Lori has been coaching students, preparing them to attend the most competitive design schools in the country. She has been featured as "Artist of the Month" in Artist's Magazine for her innovative impressionistic work with oil pastels. Additionally, other publications that have featured her work include, Mixing Color Book, The Italian Desegnare and Dipingere Magazine, and Rhode Island Monthly. In one woman shows she exhibited oil pastels, watercolors, and illustrations in the Gross McCleaf Gallery (Philidelphia), the Hirschberg Gallery (Boston), Sailors Valentine Gallery (Nantucket), the RISD Museum (Providence), as well as many other US and European Galleries.
