"Sam Feldman, a Russian immigrant and entrepreneur, founded S. Feldman Housewares, Inc. in 1929 – as the economy was plummeting into what would become the great depression. He selected the up-and-coming neighborhood of Carnegie Hill and opened a 5-10 & 25 cent store.
Over 80 years and four generations later, Feldman's continues to flourish as a family-owned-and-operated iconic centerpiece of Manhattan's Upper East Side.
