Description
Two passes to the 2015 Winter Words Passes presented by Aspen Writers' Foundation. Winter Words is a series of readings and talks featuring some of the most prominent writers in contemporary literature. Scions of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and memoir speak in intimate Aspen venues, where topics of discussion range from the creative process to the role of art in today's world. Events take place throughout the ski season.
As part of this package, you (2) will be invited to a small dinner party for writer, journalist, and novelist George Packer on February 10, 2015 - immediately following his talk at Winter Words.
George Packer is an American journalist, novelist, and playwright. He is best known for his writings for The New Yorker about U.S. foreign policy and for his book The Assassins' Gate: America in Iraq. More recently, he wrote The Unwinding: An Inner History of the New America, covering the history of America from 1978 to 2012. That book won the National Book Award for Nonfiction in November 2013.
