You will spend two nights at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown (expires September 12, 2015) situated in the vibrant uptown shopping and restaurant district.

Climb aboard the Best of Albuquerque for an eighty-five-minute tour by Albuquerque Trolley Co. Enjoy the highlights of what makes Albuquerque so special.

You'll enjoy a lovely lunch with Art at Scalo Northern Italian Grill (expires December 31, 2015).  While together, he'll sign his new book for you, Out of Sight, Blind and Doing All Right, and share his many adventures in his broadcasting career.

Is a hot air balloon ride on your bucket list?  You have hit the jackpot!  Your Champagne Flight for two is compliments of World Balloon, the southwest's Original Balloon Company for scenic balloon rides in Albuquerque. (Expires December 31, 2015, and is not valid during Balloon Fiesta.)

A visit to Albuquerque is not complete without a ride on the world's longest tramway. Two of you will take the twenty-minute ride on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway to the top of the Sandia Mountains with an elevation of over 10,000 feet. (Expires December 31, 2015, and is not valid during Balloon Fiesta.)

On a more cultural side, you will visit two one-of-a-kind cultural centers: Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the National Hispanic Cultural Center.  Both have fascinating exhibits, as well as dining options.

Art Schreiber is retired in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and has a colorful past.  He grew up on an Ohio farm and always wanted to be in radio.  (There was no TV then.) He has been a reporter, anchorperson, news director, bureau chief for Westinghouse Broadcasting Company and manager of 7 radio stations ...New York, Philadelphia, Minneapolis/St Paul, Los Angeles and Albuquerque.

Art covered John F. Kennedy in his quest for the presidency and covered his funeral.  He travelled with Martin Luther King Jr. through the early sixties including the Selma to Montgomery March and the Meredith March across Mississippi.  He covered manned space and his most memorable assignment was covering the Beatles on their first cross country tour of America.  Art played monopoly with John Lennon and George Harrison night after night on the tour.  You will be able to hear his stories and view his memorabilia.

Art woke up blind in August of '82.  He joined the National Federation of the Blind, received blind skill training and continued his work in broadcasting.  Today he is the "poster boy" for the senior blind.  He speaks nationally to groups and he preaches "there is life after blindness".
