Supple and chewy but classically dry and not particularly fleshy, with oak, peppery herbs, iron and intriguing soil tones building in the glass, this is an elegant, pliant midweight wine that finishes with firm tannic backbone and a light menthol quality.

In 1970, Baron Philippe de Rothschild acquired Chateau Clerc Milon, whose condition and operation were not satisfactory. The renovation of the vineyard by the teams of Chateau Mouton Rothschild, its consolidation, and various technical improvements, especially the construction of a new winery, are now giving back the money invested. This wine has become one of the most wanted wines of the Medoc, with finesse and richness comparable to the best.
