Ilene Hertz is a local photographer, active with the Palo Alto Camera Club.   Her photographs of flowers, shot with a macro lens on a light box, often resemble watercolor paintings.  

With this photograph of an orange tulip, Ilene sought to illuminate the vivid color and detail when the flower was open at its fullest.

"Tulipa" is an 11"x14" image, matted in a 16"x20" frame.
