Description

Come discover inventions that shaped America at the Museum of American Heritage! Set in the historic Williams House and Gardens in downtown Palo Alto, MoAH's collection aims to show the evolution, influence, and relevance of historical innovations in technology, throughout society both past and present.

The museum boasts a growing collection of roughly 5,000 artifacts and counting; however, many of these mechanical and electrical inventions are rarely exhibited. In light of this, MoAH's newest exhibition, Museum of American Heritage A to Z, introduces visitors to the breadth and the depth of the museum¿s collection with a variety of unique and unrelated artifacts that are rarely displayed to the public.

Join Executive Director Laurie Hassett for a private tour of the current exhibit and the rest of the museum¿s permanent collection, including an early 20th century kitchen, a 1920s General Store, operating print shop, and working Car Garage, as well as the historic Ruth Bell Lane Memorial Gardens.

Perfect for all ages, this fun and family-friendly tour is engaging as much as it is educational, with the chance to participate in activities like MoAH's A to Z Scavenger Hunt. Visitors are welcome to identify each letter of the alphabet as they tour this fascinating display of rare and unusual historic inventions.

This tour is for up to ten people. Please call to schedule the date and time, which is based on general availability. As a private tour, the auction winner has the special opportunity to schedule a date and time outside of the museum's regular open hours.
