Description

This colorful 16"x20" canvas art is the work of the children at Ellen Thacher Children's Center, with guidance from teacher Jackie.

Using metallic crayons arranged diagonally in the order of the rainbow, the children used hair dryers to melt the crayons.  They also used the art concept of "negative space" by putting an object on the canvas that allowed the melting crayon to avoid that space.  Gravity did what it does and the result is beautiful.  Art and science wrapped into one!
