Travelling to San Diego?  Need a break from the zoo?  The San Diego Air & Space Museum, is also located in Balboa Park, and is a wonderful place to explore and learn.  Great displays of historical rare aircraft from WWI and WWII, a Spitfire MK XVI, Navy Hellcat, A-4 Skyhawk jet and many more.  The museum is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution.
