Item Number: 102
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Join us for a relaxing cruise for up to 35 people around historic Gloucester Harbor aboard the Schooner Ardelle, a traditionally built pinky schooner sailing out of Maritime Gloucester (www.maritimegloucester.org). The two hour cruise will offer great views of Gloucester’s working waterfront and the historic shores of Gloucester’s outer harbor, Hammond Castle, Ten Pound Island and Eastern Point Lighthouses, the Dog Bar breakwater, Norman’s Woe and Massachusetts Bay.
Our captain, Harold Burnham has designed and built six traditional vessels including the Ardelle, and was recently recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts as a 2012 National Heritage Fellow honoring his efforts to preserve the art of traditional Essex shipbuilding.
Bring a picnic. Beer and wine is sold on board.
For more information about the vessel or her builder, please visit www.schoonerardelle.com.
