Koi Pond 2 is an original mixed media on repurposed glass art piece by Luminous Lish.  Lish's paintings have the surprise element of photoluminescence - they glow in the dark!

Artist's Statement:

My work is a series of Luminous Abstract Expressionistic paintings, containing organic shapes with energy and flow, where nature, in all of her awe and power, is celebrated through the artist's eye.  Texture is the most important and dominant feature of the paintings.  Thick paint globs, big cracks, crevasses and metallic washes are all of the textures to be found in these works.  

The hidden surprise to the viewer is when the photo luminescent is revealed.  When the lights go out, the painting becomes alive, as a totally different creation of color, glow dimension, and fluid movement.
