up to 5000 words of your original written work, plus 60-minute face-to-face session. Critique includes attention to both content and grammar.

All services will be provided at the convenience of both the person making the donation and the auction winner, but this should happen by August 2015, unless something else is agreed upon by both parties. 


 


E. Katherine Kottaras is originally from Chicago, but now she writes and teaches in the Los Angeles area. Her debut young adult contemporary novel, HOW TO BE BRAVE, will be published by St. Martin’s Press in November 2015. Her second book is set for a 2016 release.


 


She holds an M.A. in English from the University of California, Irvine. She has worked as a high school and community college teacher for fifteen years and currently teaches creative writing, composition, and literature at Pasadena City College. In 2004, she was the recipient of the Music Center’s Bravo Award in Los Angeles for creativity and innovation in teaching literature and the arts. Her fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have been published in Elephant Journal, The Poetry of Yoga, FlashquakeTiferet, The Edith Wharton Review, YES! Magazine, ReadWriteThink.org published by the National Council for Teachers of English, and the literary anthology, Mamas and Papas: On the Sublime and Heartbreaking Art of Parenting published by CityWorks Press.
