This beautiful mala is handmade.  The beads are 5mm in size and the mala is 19 1/2" in length from the Guru bead to the centre bead.  It can be worn as a necklace looped once or twice around the head, or on the wrist it loops about 4 times.

The mala is strung together on a light brown cotton thread, and reinforced against breakage with strong translucent nylon wire. A knot has been carefully made between each bead, creating protection for the beads, and a mala that is long-lasting and comfortable to use.  Brass spacers at the 1 & 2 and 107 & 108 count let you know that you are getting close to the Guru bead, and so you can easily avoid ¿stepping over the guru¿.

The malas comes with a cloth pouch which can be used to hold the mala and keep it safe long after you receive it, and is also excellent if you want to send it directly to a special someone as a gift. Also included with each mala is a write-up with information about how to use a mala.
