Artist Jigmed Tubtel has created an elegant Tibetan calligraphy wall hanging with the Mantra of Compassion...Om Mani Padme Hung.  The wall hanging is constructed of birch bark laminated onto 1/2" meranti wood backing.

Jigmed Tubtel is a student at Spokane Falls Community College, and comes to Spokane, Washingtom from Tibet with his teacher Lama Lakshey Zangpo Rinpoche.  Jigmed is majoring in education with the intention to then apply what he learns to reform the Tibetan educational system.

Jigmed has won several awards for his calligraphy from his school and perfecture.  Through his art, he wants to share the beauty of Tibetan culture and knowledge.
