Cockatiels, doves, parrots.  All wonderful birds, and all susceptible to being homeless.  We take care of an average of 80 birds every year at the NHSPCA.  Sometimes the challenges are especially acute.  In 2013, a flock of 60 lovebirds was surrendered to the shelter.  Challenge accepted.  As with all our animals, care does not come cheap.  Birds stay with us, on average, for 31 days.  We care for them and help them find forever homes where they can thrive.  If birds are your passion, please help us with our important mission for our winged friends.
