Choose any photo from Jon’s website, or choose the above picture of the ore freighter Edmund Fitzgerald. It was 49 years ago that the Edmund Fitzgerald went down in Lake Superior, with all 29 hands lost. In 1959, when Jon was 13 years old, his parents took him to Jones Island where he took this photo of the ship, which was in Milwaukee for a ceremony marking the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
Special Instructions
Photographer Jon Reddin spent 35 years as a prosecutor in the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office before retiring in October 2008. Since then he’s been able to spend more time developing his photo business. Jon particularly enjoys nature and landscape photography, especially in Door County, Wisconsin.
