A Desert Rose is a naturally occurring formation of selenite gypsum, like all crystals water is involved in their formation, even in the desert. These can be found in many desert areas. They make for lovely home decorations and elegant natural gifts. One should keep in mind that direct prolonged exposure to water, will alter the formation, so do not keep in the bathroom!
