Ancestor is Halter Ranch's Bordeaux-style reserve blend. Our winemaker created this blend from his choice barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The 2010 Ancestor offers complex aromas of ripe blackberries, and allspice. Elegant and balanced, this age worthy wine has soft, seamless tannins and a plush round mouth feel. Ancestor pairs well with beef, lamb and game and will develop beautifully in the bottle for the next 10-15 years.
