M. Hollis Jacobs was born in 1941 and studied at the Hamilton School of Art with Tony vanHasselt.  Mr Jacobs has been will known for many years as an artist and teacher of painting in the New England area. His paintings are represented in both public and private collections internationally. He is a member of the International Society of Marine Painter, the American Society of Marine Artists and a distinguished member of the Coast Guard Artists (C.O.G.A.P.)
