Description
Sonoma Compost makes the richest compost in Sonoma County.
This dark, rich, premium quality compost is made from recycled yard trimmings and vegetal food waste. Sonoma Compost is recommended for applications that do not require high nitrogen content such as trees, shrubs, grape vines and natives.
Provides valuable organic matter to soil, making it easier to work and more productive. In sandy soil it increases moisture-holding capacity, making soil nutrients more available to plants. In heavy clay soils, porosity is increased which improves aeration in the root zone and overall drainage.
Sonoma Compost provides a wealth of slow release nutrients and beneficial microbes to your soil and plants. It's screened to approximately <1/2".
Sonoma Compost is lab tested and listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) and the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for use in organic production (See picture label).
Special Instructions
Must be picked up from the Sonoma Compost at 550 Mecham Road, Petaluma, CA 94952 or pay the delivery fee of $45. Delivery of compost can be split. Each dump truck carries up to 10 yards of compost.

Although we can usually schedule deliveries within a day or two, lead times can be longer during our busy spring and fall seasons. For this reason, we advise customers to order early to insure materials arrive when needed.
A Gift Certificate will be issued for this item. Item will be available for pick up at Woodland Star Charter School. If item is mailed, purchaser responsible for shipping costs. No shipping outside the United States.
