La Note is an authentic Provenal restaurant in the heart of downtown Berkeley. Traditional breakfast and lunch bistro fare are combined with rustic Provenal dinners in a warm and charming atmosphere.

Re-locating from its former location to downtown Berkeley, Cafe Clem was recently remodeled by Dorothee Mitrani-Bell at its new Library Gardens location at the foot of the main Library. Also the owner of famed restaurant La Note. Cafe Clem mixes urban chic with the soothing warmth of Parisian cafes. 

The restaurant's owner Dorothe Mitrani-Bell, a graduate from UC Berkeley's Environment design program (1994), won an award in excellence in 1998 for "outstanding storefront improvements" and rehabilitation of it's beautiful 1875 building. Her daily goal is to raise her children all the while exposing them and the community to the convivial experience of sharing a wholesome fun and colorful meal reminiscent of her childhood.
