Sometime about 1870, the Peacock family looked for the perfect spot to plant their roots. They discovered it in what came to be the village of Coconut Grove. Nearly 130 years later, the owners of the Peacock Garden Café planted a verdant tropical garden on that very ground, making the café the quintessential Coconut Grove restaurant.
