Description

Clos du Ciel translates from French to "wall enclosed vineyard of the sky." It is a metaphor for the microclimate vineyard site located 1275 to 1400 feet above sea level. The wine has a deep ruby color and an intense nose of black cherry, cassis, strawberry, black raspberry with truffle, graphite and leather notes.  It is very fruit forward, but the most heavily structured of Peter Michael's three Pinots. Aged sixteen months in French oak barrels.
