This item is good for one hour of one-on-one tutoring with Leah Messing of Admission Ignition, LLC. Writing and organizational skills coaching helps students achieve academic success by teaching them how to become better students. Through private tutoring sessions, students learn the fundamentals of writing academic papers, including how to find credible sources, organize ideas, create outlines, and edit rough drafts, ultimately preparing them for college.

Additionally, students learn how to prioritize their homework assignments, create to-do lists, and manage their time effectively. Session will be offered at the Admission Ignition office (five minutes from Ransom) or via Skype.

Leah earned a B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University. As a recent college graduate, Leah offers a valuable perspective on the college admissions process. She understands the high level of stress brought on by the process and actively worked to change that culture at Miami Palmetto Senior High School. As the founder of Palmetto’s chapter of Challenge Success, Leah attended the organization’s national conference at Stanford University in 2008 and led the team at Palmetto. 

In the summer of 2011, she worked as a Verbal Coach for the organization Let’s Get Ready where she tutored low-income high school students in the Critical Reading and Writing sections of the SAT and helped them develop their personal essays.
